23andMe had a story to tell.

The genetic research company 23andMe is a
major player in the effort to understand and defeat Parkinson's Disease. Having
recently launched a major research project, 23andMe needs thousands of people already
diagnosed with the disease to contribute a genetic
sample for cutting edge analysis. The
company needed to spread the word. To that end, they partnered with Muhammad Ali to raise
awareness among people with the disease about their current study.

They hired me to create an ad that
celebrated the partnership of 23andMe with Ali, with a call to action for the viewer to find out more information at 23andme.com/pd.

In addition to the layout, I retouched the
archival photos used.

engutopia

Green Civil Engineer Tim Smith had a story to tell.

Having worked as an engineer for
several years, Tim decided to start his own consulting firm, one that would specialize in providing the green approach. The name engutopia was inspired by his abiding passion, the desire to make the world a better place coupled with the staunch
belief that this can be accomplished without
compromising environmental concerns.

engineering + utopia = engutopia

Building this logo I wanted to preserve the duality inherent in the business name. Hence the gray of engineering meets the green found in utopia. The symbol floating above not only contains a stylized leaf in the shape of a stylized "e", it is meant to evoke the image of a planet. Our planet, made better through smart planning coupled with stewardship of the environment.

Sabrina Alfin Interiors, Inc.

Sabrina Alfin Interiors had a story to tell.

As a firm that specializes in providing sophisticated design service with an environmentally responsible point of view, SAI proves that quality does not need to be sacrificed to use sustainable materials and that "designing green" can open exciting options. I developed this logo which alludes to the sophisticated nature of the SAI sensibility and high standard of service while also
being sure to incorporate a "splash of green".

Thirteen Palms

Thirteen Palms had a story to tell.

The Palm Springs resort has been reborn
after a complete remodel by its new owners. Now it's an oasis of luxury vacation rentals in Palm Springs, finished with a signature
contemporary Mexican design.

This called for a new image, and Thirteen Palms called on me for print and web collateral to spread the word.

Athena Media Partners

Athena Media Partners had a story to tell.

As one of the top advertising sales-rep firms on the West Coast, AMP needed a logo that would reflect the intelligence, tenacity and integrity with which they break new business for their clients. I developed this logo of an owl with outstretched wings with these guiding principles in mind.

AMP had another story to tell.

The firm had written a comprehensive business proposal in an effort to win new business from national magazine, HGTV Magazine. Feeling the Word document lacked vitality, AMP enlisted me to transform their raw text into a multipage layout, using colors, fonts and pictures to make their proposal more dynamic and in keeping with the visual style of the magazine that they wanted to reach. Pamplemousse had a story to tell.

The latest french bistro on the culinary map needed a logo that reflected its commitment to fresh, organic ingredients and also, one that spoke to the brightness of their mission, to serve the best food possible in a casual, inviting neighborhood setting.

I developed this site, including its graphics, the photography and the logo from scratch using Adobe Photoshop and DreamWeaver.

I created the graphics for this site with Adobe Photoshop, and coded by hand using HTML.

I designed this website for pianist, Andy Pesce. Andy had a story to tell.

Vice President for a Financial Services company by day, he had a passion that he wanted to express in his personal life, and that was his music. He needed a way to not only reach others with his talents but a place to store his recordings.

I enlisted engineer Mark Barnes to create professional recordings of Andy's work and invite you to listen to them on the website.

In a playing field full of apparel for children, Organic Fabrique has distinguished itself from its competitors by develping clothing lines made only from 100% organic cotton that has been sustainably farmed. I developed this site and its logo from scratch. Photography by Stepane Houari, Paris.

Fitness Time had a story to tell.

I created this character, and logo,
 for this Pennsylvania-based lifestyle and physical fitness company using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Foxy Fox had a story to tell.

The logo had to be as pretty as the cosmetic products they manufactured. I created the logo
 for this San Francisco-based company using Adoe Photoshop.

TBMS, Total Bill Management Services

TBMS had a story to tell.

Because they work from a business to business model, they wanted a logo and website that were both clean and easy to use and at the same time, one that reinforced the integrity of the company's mission, to protect their client's bottom line by negotiating for them the lowest possible telecommunications rates. I created the logo and website
 for this (fomer) San Francisco-based company using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver, as well as hand coding.

PacWest had a story to tell.

I created the logo
 for this San Francisco-based fitness company whose mission it was to empower anyone to reach and surpass their own individual fitness goals. Moreover, PacWest created a community among their members so community-building was a guiding principle in designing their website.

Martin Marquez, Spanish Tutor

Martin Marquez had a story to tell.

Martin was an instructor of the Spanish language and he wanted to broaden his services to include tutoring. He asked me to create this website to showcase that service and also, to share a little bit about himself, too.

Carrere is a psychotherapist with a thriving business not only serving patients but also, teaching the next generation of therapists. He wanted a logo that reflected the work that he does every day.
